Exactly as it sounds

Distributing audio simply means sending audio everywhere!

There are 2 main ways to send audio throughout your house. The first is by adding fixed speakers into your ceiling or walls that are connected with wires to a central location. The second is to add mobile speakers to tabletops or counters that connect to each other wirelessly.

Each style has unique advantages and they can combined into a hybrid system. We will work with you to develop a solution that meets your needs and your price. Reach out to us and we can help you through the decision making process.

Wired speakers

Any audiophile will tell you that a wired system gives you the best sound quality, here is why.

    1. You get to choose speakers that fit the space you're playing music in.
    2. The speakers are more/less fixed in location.
    3. This means you can better tune the sound to the space.

Outside of the speakers themselves, a wired system give you more flexibility with the music sources you can play and the tuning of those individual sources. Whether you want to hear:

Digital music (Spotify, Pandora, TuneIN, Deezer, Tidal, etc...)
Your classic record player (Vinyl, arguably the best audio quality regularly accessible)
TV audio (Superbowl, broadcast concert, documentaries, etc...)
    You name it.
A wired system will allow you to put these sources into a central location and play them anywhere in the house.

Wireless speakers

There are so many reasons to use a wireless speaker solution they are hard to enumerate. The advantages of these solutions are in their flexibility. We prefer to install and support a brand of wireless speaker called SONOS.

SONOS allows for quick setup, flexible speaker placement, internet streaming music is built into it, they offer a wide variety of speakers that meet different applications, speaker pairing for true stereo sound, boss subwoofers!, analog to digital signal conversion e.g. receiving the sound from your cable box and sending it to any/all other speakers for playback, and the list goes on.

Something worth noting is that because these speakers are out in your space they take up room, they have to meet aesthetic standards, they do not automatically meet the acoustic profile of your speace and moving them makes makes any tuning done less applicable, and they have wires to be managed. Another drawback is this technology uses wireless frequencies that compete with your laptop, phone, tablet and other wireless devices. So a professional should analyze your use cases and assist with installation so you have an amazing audio system where and when you want it!

Despite these potential drawbacks, a wireless audio system still delivers amazing value and performance.
